Tom Eustace B.Comm. M.B.S., managing director and owner of Comco Environmental has been a member of Rotary since 1991. In that time he has served as a member of council and President of the Drogheda Rotary Club, District 1160. As part of the Rotary family he and his company have participated in many worthy projects including several relating to the water projects in Rombo Kenya.

Rotary is a worldwide network of inspired men and women who volunteer their time and talents to support their local communities and communities around the world.

Rombo is an area of Kenya. It lies at the foot of Kilimanjaro on the Kenyan side of the Tanzanian border. It’s home to the Maasai tribe

Also home to a woman from Ireland, Elaine Bannon, OGW recipient and Paul Harris Fellow. Rotarians from District 1160 (U.K. and Ireland) have been helping Elaine to save and change lives for several years now.

During this time Elaine has overseen the building of wells so as to bring fresh clean water to the populace, the building of schools and infrastructure so as to add to the quality of life. Current projects include the building of Sand Dams so as to retain rain water and the construction of 20km of pipelines so as to deliver this water to where it is needed.

If you would like to help in any of the valuable work that is being done in Kenya, please contact your local Rotary Club. Alternatively go to Rotary Ireland’s home page
